Johnathan D. Silva is the Founder and Managing Partner of Veteran-Owned Law Firm J.D. Silva & Associates. He is a Pearland personal injury lawyer. Johnathan and his team handle each case personally, developing and maintaining the important client relationship and ensuring the client remains informed. Providing clear information forms the foundation of a successful attorney-client relationship.

Communication and honesty are a key part of Johnathan’s philosophy, in part gleaned from enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 17. He trained as a medic, serving overseas twice and traveling to 36 countries during his seven years of military service. While in the Navy, Johnathan earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Political Science from the American Military University. Upon his discharge, Johnathan was accepted into Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He served as a Texas Access to Justice Foundation Fellow before graduating in 2014.

During law school, Johnathan interned with Lone Star Legal Aid in Angleton, Texas for both of his two summers, where he provided legal advice and guidance to low-income individuals. Inspired by this work, Johnathan applied for a grant upon his graduation from law school from Equality Justice Works, a national organization that supports local community efforts. He was selected as one of only 25 Texas recipients of a two-year grant allowing him to focus on veteran’s disability law in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area. With his military background and legal degree, Johnathan was able to provide high-quality legal services to his fellow veterans.

Upon completion of his two-year veteran service grant, Johnathan worked as a car accident lawyer in Houston law firms, obtaining justice for those injured by the negligence of corporations or reckless individuals. He founded J.D. Silva & Associates in 2018 to spearhead his ongoing work advocating for injury victims.

Johnathan’s background as a military medic and lawyer provide him with a unique, multi-faceted understanding of the medical issues involved in personal injury cases. As a lawyer with medical experience, he understands complex medical records and other such expert reports used in litigation with confidence.

Johnathan is a bilingual attorney, fluent in Spanish as a first-generation American son of Mexican migrants. He was born and raised in Brazoria County, and grew up in Clute, Texas. On the weekend, he enjoys supporting all of Houston’s local sports teams, particularly the Rockets and the Texans.
